Boora Boora Case Study
Boora Boora. When I met the owners of this job I was asked to come out to the backyard and scale the 45 degree slope which led to the back boundary. The owners felt they had this wide but not very deep area that was basically unusable, steep and ugly. I knew that terracing would be good but it had to have movement, it had to flow. This is the reason I chose sandstone; not just for the visual appeal but also that it allowed the wall to bend and curve. The small terraced wall sections created pockets of garden so that the plants are all on display but gave you room to move between the gardens along the planned gravel paths. The deck has the purpose of an access to the spa. However it became more than that because of the raised platform acts as a seat or a great spot to view the Kincumber broadwater.
